A van fit-out is not only a way to organise space better, but also to make work more efficient and comfortable. Thanks to high-quality materials and modern technology, the interior of each vehicle has become a fully functional mobile workshop. See what our latest van fit-out project for the transport company Gemtrans has to offer.
Solid construction and versatile capabilities
The entire interior of the Mercedes is properly protected. Wheel arch covers protect the vehicle interior from damage. Double-sided laminated plywood on the walls and side panels ensures durability and resistance to damage. LED lighting in the ceiling, designed at the client's request and set in a specially milled panel, provides excellent visibility in all conditions. Rotating magnetic LED floodlights mounted on the side and rear doors make work in the field easier.
Electrical equipment
The project also includes the installation of additional electrical equipment: a voltage converter mounted under the driver's seat, together with wiring for a second battery. Above the work surface we fitted a side panel with a voltmeter, a 12V cigarette lighter socket, a 230V socket and USB ports. Additional 230V sockets are also located on the bulkhead, so electrical devices can be connected anywhere. The fit-out was designed for maximum functionality and ease of use.
Ergonomics and professional equipment
A Shoulder Sink hygiene station is mounted on the rear door, making it possible to keep clean in any conditions. The shelving unit has a mount on Airline rails for a 3.5 air bag jack, located by the side door. On the ceiling we installed 7 load securing rails with additional auto-retracting straps, which among other things allow a ladder and other items to be transported safely wherever needed.
Practicality of a modern fit-out
The van fit-out includes a number of features that increase its versatility and functionality. It is equipped with high-quality GEMA cabinets, which keep tools and accessories perfectly organised. The shelving units are made of anodised aluminium with a composite, so the whole set weighs just 249 kg, reducing the load on the vehicle while making optimal use of the available space. A vice with a pull-out leg allows comfortable work with long items and, when folded, takes up little space inside the vehicle, while the shelving unit with a workshop table and a durable, weather-resistant top makes a reliable workstation. Inside the vehicle there is a dedicated spot with a mount for a Mauzer tank, which adds to its practicality in everyday tasks. On the side wall we placed 230V sockets and a load securing rail with hooks for hanging clothes. The company logo is milled into the fit-out. The entire fit-out was designed to serve fully as a service vehicle for Gemtrans.
