WIS, a company specializing in plumbing, heating and air conditioning installations, chose a van fit-out for its Ford Transit L3H2. We designed it to make it as easy as possible to carry the tools and materials installers need every day.
Side panels and floor
We used 6.5 mm laminated plywood for the side and door panels and the bulkhead, and 12 mm anti-slip hexa plywood for the floor. Both types are waterproof, easy to clean and extremely durable.
Access hatch
We cut an opening in the bulkhead and fitted a sliding access hatch to extend the cargo area. The customer will be transporting long items - 4-metre profiles. The factory bulkhead is made of a weak, glued material, so we had to reinforce it with laminated plywood.
Wheel arch covers and pillar trims
We made the wheel arch covers from both types of plywood and reinforced them with aluminium fittings. We also fitted pillar trims, making transport safer.
Airline from WISTRA
We installed special LED strips on the ceiling to provide good lighting in the cargo area. On the side walls and the bulkhead, on two levels, we fitted Airline load securing rails and specialized sliding butterfly brackets, as the customer plans to install their own shelving units here.
See how the cut-out opening with an access hatch extends the cargo area.
